Tea Party Convention
Erika Franzi and I presented our talk this afternoon detailing how NCFreedom set up a state wide communications network. We had some Mac/Windows issues and were not able to use the PowerPoint presentation, so we had to wing it. After we finished, the audience of about 100 asked questions until we ran out of time. At that point, the crowd started to become vocal.
They wanted to know more about our structure and future plans. They also wanted to incorporate some of our success into their states and even possibly a national plan. I told them that I could ask Judson Phillips if he could schedule another seminar for us in the afternoon on Saturday since nothing was currently scheduled. After a standing ovation, we answered questions for another half hour in the hallway.
Another hour later, we were told that we will be doing a three hour breakout session Saturday afternoon to continue our presentation and help organize/coordinate other state organizations.
If we are lucky, this may be recorded by a network or PJTV.

I think you are referring to my article posted on Randy's Right's blog. I agree with you sentiment and this was discussed at the convention. We are all Americans. Political parties or their rhetoric will not save our country. The tea party will need to hold both parties accountable for their actiions. From what I saw at the convention there is no stagnation at the convention.
Randy, I'm confused with your blog a little. At the top you have opinions for North Carolina patriots, but the only conservative group you have is a take back the Republican party group. Shouldn't a patriot want to take back our country and not a party? I have to stick with with my principles on this. I feel that this trend of alienating a segment as huge as the independent voter is detrimental to the Tea Party movement. You and Erika have organized a great network, but at the same time are causing separation from the roots of the Tea party. Those roots run deep and are the most enthusiastic in activist participation. I pray that this does not cause stagnation in the movement. If it does have you considered a plan to reignite that flame that once was the true Tea Party?
